Resin Driveway Maintenance: The Best Tips and Tricks

When you have your newly installed resin driveway, you need to take care of it positively they are relatively low-maintenance. Below are some top tips that will help you keep your resin driveway looking good long-term:

  • Sweep regularly the permeable paving with a stiff broom then hose with clean water. You use a pressure washer for a power wash but be careful not to use excessive pressure, use cold water and keep the jet at least 200mm from the surface.
  • Do not worry about oil spots, as they are normally washed away with natural rainfall.
  • Moss will easily be removed using a stiff broom.
  • To prevent tyre marks from appearing on your driveway, do not turn your steering wheel while the vehicle is stationary. If you do notice tyre marks, they can be cleaned by tamping the surface with a white spirit wet cloth, before power washing.
  • Your contractors should remove weeds before installing a resin driveway and new ones will not grow through.
  • Noticed chewing gum on your resin driveway? Use a freezing spray to treat it. Then once the gum has hardened carefully remove it with a paint scraper

These useful and straightforward maintenance tricks will help you increase the lifespan of your driveway.
