Resin bound stone surfaces are extremely resilient and will look fantastic for many years. Though everything needs cleaning eventually, even your beautiful new driveway or path. However, unlike concrete or tarmac surfaces which can require strong chemical cleaners to bring them back to life, a resin bound stone surface can be cleaned by just using a jet wash and some soapy water. The resin coated stones resist staining much more than conventional surfaces such as block paving and you won’t need to get on your hands and knees to start scrubbing! We love the ease of keeping a resin surface clean, and we know you will too!
Oil spills on a resin driveway can cause softening and degradation of the resin surface. Therefore clean up any oil spills quickly.
Absorb the oil with sand or cat litter
Remove and dispose of safely
Use a light detergent like washing up liquid, leave to soak, and wash off with a jet wash (don’t go to close so the surface)
Scrub the stain with a brush
Wash the detergent off with water
Power wash the driveway again
Vegetation
Any moss or weed growth that occurs should be treated using an appropriate herbicide.
Any ingrained algal growth can be removed and the colour of the original surface restored by applying a strong bleach
solution.
The bleach solution however should be applied in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and local environmental
constraints. After application with the bleach the surface must be rinsed well with clean water.
Please note: Staining may occur from tanning if surfaces are not kept clean from leaf debris, conkers etc
