SuDs, Sustainable Drainage Systems Installed by Resin Install.

Whats That? No Planning Permission? oohh YES!

Developers are urged by Council Planners to use SuDs (Sustainable Drainage Systems) on drives wherever possible, to reduce water runoff from drives and reduce the risk of floods. Concrete and block paved drives are not permeable so rain water runs off creating a flood risk.

Resin bound gravel on driveways and paths is SuDs Compliant, it is permeable allowing rainwater to drain naturally back to the water table.

Permeable Paving Installed Nationwide By Resin Install.

Since resin-bound gravel is a SUDS compliant (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) surface, the installation of the flooring does not require planning permission. SuDS compliant surfaces allow water to drain through the surface and can even be reused after.

Another great thing about this permeable paving is that the surface requires very little maintenance. If you'd like to find out more about permeable paving, please fill out our enquiry form and we shall provide you with even more information on porous resin-bound driveways.

Resin-bound gravel is a popular choice and has many advantages when compared to other decorative drive paving options. One of the greatest things about this surfacing type is that it is SuDS compliant and requires very little maintenance. Once installed you will not need to worry about the cost to maintain the drive, since very little work needs to be done. This is why it is often chosen as an alternative to loose gravel on many domestic driveways. We would recommend cleaning the floor regularly in order to prevent contamination; however it is only a light jet wash that is required.

Fast 1 & 2 day driveway overlays in Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside & Beyond, By the best in the business.

Resin bonded surfaces are perfect to be laid over the top of an existing tarmac or concrete driveway, greatly reducing the cost and time to install to 1 or 2 day. We have 2 main teams at Resin Install, our resin bound installers and landscapers all with years of experience in each sector, without the use of our landscapers and sub-base team the cost is clearly reduced.

For large resin bound overlays 600 to 800 sq. Mtr can be installed per day with our in-house teams combined if needed. due to no excavation being required the process is straightforward for our teams . Though the edges can still be excavated and a block edge can be installed allowing the resin mixture to be applied to the right depth this adds around 1 to 2 days. Or we can simply install an aluminium bead edge the most popular option.

Remember installing on top of block paving is risky due to the possible movement of the paving blocks underneath causing the resin surface which could leave an uneven finish and even cause the resin surface to crack. Many people take the risk due to the cost difference but please be aware of companies offering guarantees with this option. Along with resin-bound surfacing, we also install resin bonded gravel. This is not a permeable surface type, but is still popular. The bonded gravel is a scatter system which means the resin is laid down first and then the stone aggregate is scattered on top; therefore the surface is not smooth. Resin bonded gravel is a cheaper option, however you need to be aware that this flooring type is not porous and so water can build up on top of your surface in the event of heavy downfall of rain.
